Introduction

Untitled

Long time no see!

On Dec 16th, 2020, we launched our first product Voice 65. In the past year and a half, our product lines have covered most of the popular layouts, from 65% to Arisu. Instead of exploring all the other layouts, we chose to return to where we started, 65%, as we believe there are still rooms in this market.

We have come a long way in terms of pursuing challenges and innovation to bring you a refreshing experience for each product launched. This time, the idea originates from the repeated assembly and dismantling process of our previous prototypes in search of the coveted sound profile & typing feedback. The strenuous work led us to question ourselves…

”How could we simplify the build process?”

Mortise and tenon is the first thing that came to our mind. To those of you who are not familiar with it, it’s a joint technique widely used in wood building structures dating back 7000 years. It requires no external tools to assemble and the rigidity is reliable once pieced together. A modern application is the Burr Puzzle, also known as the Chinese cross. Like many mechanical puzzles, it’s easily solved if the player knows the first bolt to remove.

All these features require extreme precision and delicacy in design. After countless rejected designs and 19 rounds of prototyping, we finally got our answer. This is what we want to introduce to you today, a screwless build – Link 65, which resembles a harmonious link between excellence of traditional craftsmanship and intriguing modern manufacturing techniques.
